Dr Grant Bigg-Wither

Dr Grant Bigg-Wither is a Staff Specialist at St Vincent’s Hospital and a contributor to ARPANSA’s Safety Guide for Radiation Protection (2008). He is deeply involved in registrar training and serves as an examiner for the RANZCR fellowship exams. His principal clinical interest is head and neck imaging. Dr Bigg-Wither’s patient philosophy centres on delivering precise, thoughtful care with clear communication, ensuring every patient feels informed, supported, and confidently guided throughout their diagnostic journey.

Dr Linda Borella

Dr Linda Borella of Sydney Imaging Specialists, is an accomplished radiologist with specialist training at Royal North Shore and Liverpool Hospitals and fellowships in breast and paediatric imaging. She leads the department’s breast imaging services and introduced Sydney’s first Abbreviated Breast MRI program. An accredited VMO with BreastScreen NSW, she also has expertise in ultrasound, neuroradiology, oncology, and head and neck imaging. Dr Borella’s philosophy blends advanced diagnostic expertise with deeply human care, empowering patients through clarity, empathy, and confident guidance.

Dr Pascal Bou-Haidar

Dr Pascal Bou-Haidar specialises in neuroradiology, head and neck imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, body MRI, cardiac and prostate imaging. He trained at Westmead Hospital, receiving the HR Sear Prize for top RANZCR candidate, and completed prestigious neuroradiology and musculoskeletal fellowships at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. With a strong research interest in 3D medical visualisation and a Masters in Engineering Science, he brings advanced insight to clinical care. Dr Bou-Haidar’s patient philosophy centres on precision, empathy, and clear communication, ensuring patients feel supported and confidently guided throughout their imaging experience.

Dr Sebastian Fung

Dr Sebastian Fung completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney with First Class Honours, before radiology training at Westmead Hospital, where he received the M.G.F. Donnan Prize. He undertook fellowships in Paediatric Radiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging, earning the Charles L. Christian Award in New York. He specialises in musculoskeletal, spinal and neurological imaging and is known for his calm, reassuring manner—guiding patients through every step to support comfort, confidence and optimal clinical outcomes.

Dr Brett Hines

Dr Brett Hines is a leading radiologist recognised for advanced expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, minimally invasive spinal intervention, ultrasound, CT, and CT cardiac imaging. After graduating with honours from Sydney University, he trained in premier centres in Auckland, Sydney, and Rochester, NY—shaping a career defined by innovation, technical mastery, and outstanding patient outcomes.

Associate Professor Bao (Sonny) Ho

Associate Professor Bao (Sonny) Ho is a dual-qualified Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine PET specialist, advancing theranostics and precision imaging at St Vincent’s Hospital and Mater Hospital Sydney. He is an active member of multidisciplinary teams at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre, the Garvan Institute, and UNSW. His subspecialty interests include advanced MRI and PET oncology, prostate and uroradiology, and head and neck cancer. He is committed to meticulous, research-informed, patient-centred care.

Dr Bill Lees

MBBS FRANZCR AANMS

Dr Bill Lees is a dual-trained Nuclear Medicine Radiologist, having completed radiology training at St Vincent’s Sydney and a two-year Nuclear Medicine and PET fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, with formal PET accreditation at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He was a partner at Goulburn Valley Imaging Group (2001–2012) before relocating to Sydney. His expertise includes cardiac and hybrid imaging, including SPECT/CT and PET/CT. Dr Lees is committed to guiding patients with clarity and reassurance, ensuring confidence and optimal outcomes throughout their imaging journey.

Dr Brad Milner

Dr Brad Milner is a distinguished radiologist with enduring ties to the Darlinghurst and greater Sydney community. He has held leadership roles including Acting Director of Diagnostic Services and Director of Radiology Registrar Training, and contributes as a Conjoint Lecturer at UNSW and through the Remote Vocational Training Scheme. Renowned for his meticulous, patient-focused approach, Dr Milner combines clinical excellence with a commitment to education and advancing radiology practice.

Dr Yang-Yi Ong

Dr Yang-Yi Ong is an experienced radiologist with over 15 years’ subspecialty expertise in abdominal, breast and oncologic imaging. Her training includes a University of Toronto Fellowship and further work across leading Australian centres. A proven leader in education, protocol development and multidisciplinary care, she is committed to advancing women’s imaging, oncology and departmental excellence. Dr Ong works closely with clinicians and patients, offering warm, considered care to support the best outcomes.

Dr Garry Schaffer

Dr Garry Schaffer trained and worked as a Staff Specialist at RPAH before joining Sydney Imaging Specialists in 2005. He specialises in abdominal and urological imaging and the application of effective multimodality imaging. A former RANZCR director and current board member of St Vincent’s Clinic, Dr Schaffer is renowned for his professionalism and polite, empathetic approach, always attentive to the needs of patients and clinicians to ensure comfort, understanding, and optimal clinical outcomes.

Dr Kiera Schelz

Dr Kiera Schelz is a highly experienced radiologist specialising in body oncology and breast imaging, with particular expertise in CT and ultrasound-guided procedures and chest imaging. Her medical training spans Sydney University, St Vincent’s, St George and Royal North Shore Hospitals, complemented by an earlier BA in Political Science from Smith College, USA. A BreastScreen NSW reader, she brings strong clinical insight, technical precision and a warm, collaborative approach to supporting patients and clinicians alike.

Dr Kristina Wainwright

Dr Kristina Wainwright is a dual-trained Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist. She obtained her medical degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, in 2002 before commencing radiology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital in 2005. She subsequently continued her radiology training in Sydney at Royal North Shore Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital.

Dr Wainwright completed a further two years of subspecialty training in Nuclear Medicine and PET at both Prince of Wales Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital, becoming dual qualified in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

She has worked for many years as a consultant across both the public and private sectors in Sydney, contributing to Radiology and Nuclear Medicine departments. Her principal clinical interests include hybrid imaging and oncologic imaging with PET.
